I am very unhappy with my defective Samsung Plasma TV as I am now going on my 3rd defective Samsung plasma. The other day my 3rd TV which is only 6 months old gets another horizontal line at the bottom of the TV. I called Customer Service the same day and they said they would send a tech out to look at the TV and the tech indicated the panel needed to be replaced. The previous TV had these same issues with the panel being replaced 3 times. A panel replacement will not fix the issue and honestly I am getting tired of having my TV serviced or replaced every couple of months. I am asking if it would be possible to either receive a full refund or be switched to an LCD equivalent or an upgraded model. The service number is 4007989248. The model number is PN50C550G1FXZA. The S/N is Z1MZ3CQZ314480D.
Time line as follows:
4/27/2010- Original TV breaks and does not work at all
05/2010- 1st replacement TV has vertical lines, panel gets replaced
08/21/2010-1st replacement TV has lines in it again, panel gets replaced again
09/21/2010- Panel gets replaced a third time and shortly after get a nice white vertical line on it. I get a brand new replacement TV
03/06/2011- 2nd replacement TV has black horizontal line in it.
I just spoke with Customer Service in the Executive customer service department today and they advised me they could only replace the panel and they would be unable to replace the TV at this time.
